Item Description
Complete 1.5x4" promotional matchpack for the 1939 re-release of the 1936 "Daring Marihuana Expose" anti-marijuana film (also released as "The Marijuana Story"). Exterior features great graphic of shadowy smoking man and swooning woman in front of "Reefer" cigarette. Wonderful text includes - "Deals Wild, Mad Thrills At A Price - A Puff..A Party....A Tragedy." Interior has imprint for showings at State Theatre in Mahanoy City, PA that began Sept. 10, 1939. Matches themselves have printed image of large hand holding swooning woman in revealing gown. Matchpack is unused and shows just lt. wear. VF. Great graphics.
