Item Description
2-3/8x5.5" ticket for anti-war rally that took place at Madison Square Garden Oct. 30, 1941, just over a month before the attack on Pearl Harbor. Balcony ticket lists speakers for the event that included Montana Senator Burton K. Wheeler, former Ambassador to Belgium John Cudahy and famed aviator Charles Lindbergh among others. The rally was sponsored by the New York Chapter, Inc. America First Committee, the foremost group against US involvement in World War II (the group dissolved three days after Pearl Harbor). Ticket is aged but o/w Exc. Rare as most tickets were likely destroyed upon American entry into the war. See America's first license plate attachment #784.
