Item Description
2-3/16" from the earliest days of the west coast Mickey Mouse Clubs which began in 1930. Clubs elected officers from "Chief Mickey Mouse" on down and this button denotes the rank of "Courier." Noticeable gray stain surrounds about three quarters of the circumference going inward no more than .25". Vast majority of button remains clean and all retains its high gloss. No backpaper on the reverse, likely as issued. This design was used very briefly and this is the only example we have seen of it on a button as with the growing popularity of the clubs the studio quickly stepped in and revised these buttons so that the second version Mickey looks more like he does on our item #966. Rare.
