Original illustrated cardboard box contains 5.5" long heavy painted die-cast car made in Germany (British Zone) and marked "Prameta Kolner Automodelle Mercedes-Benz-300" on underside of front steerable axle. 1950s. Box has even dark aging and shows moderate wear w/edge rubs and is missing one inner flap w/another attached w/paper tape. VG. Toy features three manually-operated functions that include steerable front w/protruding red turn signals at front left/right fenders, speed control and straight/curved driving modes. Rarely found w/intact plastic Mercedes radiator emblem, this example is complete w/unique metal key in shape of policeman. Some aging to top of radiator, o/w Exc.
