Item Description
15" tall composition doll manufactured in 1947 by Imperial Crown Toy Co. as an exclusive for Macy's. Jointed at shoulders, hips and head. Doll has sleep eyes that work. Detailed costume is complete, including snap-on stitched fabric cape, shirt w/felt Superman "S" shield chest emblem, cloth shorts, original oilcloth shoes, knitted socks and snap vinyl belt. Very minor and typical crazing on arms/legs (almost none on head). Right eye has tiny nick at corner. Doll still displays VF w/outfit showing just trace aging. Outfit is Exc. overall. As nice as they come, the best example we've offered in our 48 years. Franco Toscanini Collection.
