Item Description
©1979 DC Comics. 6x8.5x14.5" box contains 12" rubber bodied figure with plastic head, cloth cape and belt/trunks. Box has overall damage from leaking syrup but graphics are all intact. There is some newspaper stuck on lower back of box. The bottom panel has some loss of surface paper from sticking fast at some point. Box states "Elastic Superman figure can be pulled, posed, squeezed or stretched and will always go back to his original shape." Inner corn syrup has leaked from figure and into inner plastic shell that holds figure, but has stabilized in place as long as kept cool. Original inner shell, instructions, fabric shorts, cape and figure are fixed in place by dried stretch "ooze" and cannot be removed from box nor can box be opened. Contents have Fine appearance as is and still displays nicely in box. Box still displays as Good. One of the more obscure and rarely seen Mego toys. Franco Toscanini Collection.
