Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid featuring graphics of Superman lifting tank and side panel graphics on two sides w/Superman facing tank contains battery-operated Linemar toy, ©1958 Superman Co. Inc. Underside of box has "Hobby Land" inkstamp name/address. Box shows scattered aging/wear w/creases and some dust soiling, but aside from .25" corner split, box retains its shape. Fine. Box contains 4.5" tall by 8" long tin litho tank (all dark green variety, also produced in other colors/combinations, see following item #2100) w/wire rods on front which attach to 4.5" tall tin litho Superman figure w/fabric cape. Toy function features Superman stopping tank and lifting it. This function works well and battery box is clean. Tank has scattered wear in the form of small nicks/scratches, wear more moderate to turret muzzle. Fine. Superman figure has lt. trace of wear and is VF/Exc. Rare. Franco Toscanini Collection.
