Item Description
1x5.5x7.5" box. c. 1910. Cardboard lid shows choice full color art of Buster looking at laughing clown as Tige looks startled. Artist-signed at lower right by creator R.F. Outcault. Text at bottom of art includes "Published By Selchow & Righter N. Y. Herald." Two 1/16x1/8" color loss rubs on right box edge but o/w box is VF. Box contains complete set of Yellow Kid cards. Lot of 40 plus original instructions. Cards show Buster and Tige's visit to the circus with captions below. Yellow Kid, Tipsy, monkey and bear make appearances on individual cards. One card with corner bump. One with .75" light corner crease but o/w cards are clean, bright, sharp corners and Exc. From the Gary Selmonsky collection.
