Lot of five figures (including Dagwood variant) ranging in height from 2.75" to 4-7/8" tall, each w/incised "©1944 KFS" on back of base and names on front. Figures include - Dagwood (both black and brown pants color varieties), Blondie, Alexander and Cookie. Blondie and Cookie are both color variety in blue dresses rather than red. Blondie's legs are thin and usually found broken at the ankles. This example is w/o repair. Alexander has professional repair to neck which is only noticeable upon close inspection, but o/w figures are choice, Exc. examples. Comes w/original illustrated cardboard box w/right side panel stamped "Dagwood" beneath "Your Favorite Comic Character" text. Blondie characters are shown on one side panel. Missing one inner flap w/another reattached w/tape. Box has some handling wear and even moderate aging. Fine overall. Scarce. As a bonus, comes w/8" tall ceramic figurine of Dagwood from 1940s series. Underside of base has incised KFS copyright. Exc.
