Item Description
Double-sided 30" tall die-cut steel novelty lawn sprinkler stands on 8" dia. metal base w/additional 4.5" long metal spike on bottom for staking in lawn, giving piece overall height of 34.5" tall. Backside has small decal listing "Sprinklin' Bozo" name and partial maker's name (though first part of name is illegible). c. 1936. Stencil painted front depicts Bozo wearing organ grinder's monkey outfit and holding change cup. Separate unpainted die-cut metal arm is hinged and holds rubber hose w/sprinkler head. Hose feeds into rubber socket-lined hole at bottom which in turn connects to metal base w/threaded coupling to connect to faucet via hose. Base and tip of hose have separated at back as rubber has degraded over the years, but can still be assembled for display w/hose being easily replaced. Metal spike shows obvious oxidation and has noticeable bend. Scattered paint wear to front/back of Bozo w/scattered oxidation to arm. VG overall.
