Item Description
14" long tin litho Batmobile. Made in Japan by Aoshin Shoten, c. 1966. Exclusive to the Japanese market. Hood is emblazoned w/"Batman" comic book title/logo and doors and trunk have "Batmobile" name. Doors also have batsymbols, as do tin litho hubcaps. Cockpit has tin litho upper body/shoulders of Batman w/soft vinyl head. Missing one of four hubcaps as well as one of two metal bumpers (one on front, one on back) while other two remain. Windshield is a vintage replacement from same size car and metal frame shows aging. Still a nice match. Rear friction wheels can be turned manually and make noise, but no longer works in intended fashion. Batmobile's body shows scattered paint wear in the form of small nicks/scratches. VG overall, but still impressive in both size and design. Scarce in any condition.
