Item Description
Sizes to scale from 2" tall teacup to 4.25" tall teapot with lid. Each piece shows one or two images of Harrison's log cabin in North Bend, Ohio. Two saucers carry the "Columbian Star" logo with Oct 28th 1840 date. Teapot has small flake 1/8x3/16" off rear top edge of spout, rest is essentially Mint. Sugar bowl with lid and handles has tiny dots of glaze loss from inner rim that supports the lid and tiny loss of surface glaze from corner of one handle with 1/8" glaze sliver off the other. Pitcher is essentially Mint. One cup has 1/16" rim nick with 1/8" stress line and tan dot on interior bottom. One cup has 3/16x3/8" flake off underside rim, one cup, as made, has five small pieces of cream ceramic adhered to interior bottom. Pieces are 1/16" to 3/16" long. Rest of cup is essentially Mint as is the fourth cup. Two saucers have 1/16" flake off underside rim and two are essentially Mint. Overall an outstanding and complete set. Rare.
