Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 11" tall toy w/attached painted tin remote control unit. Marx, 1960s. Exceptional box features illustration on lid of a rampaging King Kong. Two side panels feature a close-up of Kong w/small boy and fighting Tyrannosaurus Rex. Lid has .75x1" H-shaped puncture on Kong's face and moderate edge creases and corner tip wear. 1" tear at bottom of one lid corner. 4.25" edge split to lid. VG/Fine. Toy has plush-covered body w/hard vinyl face/hands, painted tin chest and feet. Metal collar attached about neck w/matching wrist cuffs w/attached chain. Toy works, one button controlling forward movement while another makes Kong beat his chest as his head moves from side-to-side, mouth opens/closes and loud growl is produced. NM.
