Auction #216 - Part II
Item numbers 978 through 2735 in auction 216
Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains tin litho toy w/built-in key that consists of dancer figure and building base, total height of 9.25". Unique Art Manufacturing Co. ©1921. Box shows obvious and heavy wear, w/tape repair to interior for 6.25" edge split/tear. Good/VG. Base features well-done images on all sides of stereotypical African-American adults and children playing instruments, singing, dancing, etc. Figure came in different clothing variations, this is red/green coat and blue/white checkered pants. This is version w/o banjo (box art also does not feature banjo). Works well. Scattered paint nicks/scratches w/bare metal at jointed shoulders. Fine. Classic wind-up.
