4.5x11.75x2.75" deep cardboard box w/illustrated paper lid label contains complete early 1950s Schuco set produced in the US Zone of Germany. Box has scattered dust soiling to lid label and scattered lt. wear but is o/w tight and Fine. Set includes 8.5" long painted tin car (complete w/tin litho interior details) and plated hubcaps, bumpers, etc. Car resembles 1953 Buick or Pontiac, possibly a composite design of several 1950s cars. Motor works, functions include on/off, forward/reverse and steering control connected by cable. Manually-operated front wheels. Car comes w/original key and all accessories. NM. Several instruction sheets are included, covering all the sets Schuco was making at this time. Scattered creases. Fine overall. Neat design.
