Item Description
25" tall doll w/composition head/hands/boots w/stuffed fabric body.These dolls came w/different colored/styled outfits. This one has cotton fabric bandanna, plaid shirt w/faux suede vest and chaps. Chaps have great image of Lone Ranger on rearing Silver and ©TLR INC. on each. 1-5/8" brass sheriff star pin w/"Lone Ranger - Hi-Yo Silver" text and Lone Ranger portrait. Exc. Felt mask w/original elastic band present. Pressed felt hat has replaced band, o/w outfit is complete. Belt/holsters/holster strap are leather and holsters hold 4" long nickel plated cast iron "Jax" single shot cap guns. Although not the originals, these replacements are period guns that match well. Dollcraft Novelty Co. ©1938 T.L.R. Co. Inc. Dollcraft made these dolls in three sizes - 15" and 20" as well as this scarcer 25" version . Head has typical lt. crazing, more prevalent on back of head along w/minor splits behind the ears and down neck.Tiny loss of paint to nose, o/w front remains bright and glossy and about as nice as these come.Fine w/no restoration evident. Scattered aging to belt/holsters and chaps, but o/w Fine/VF. Comes w/1930s real photo postcard showing this doll and matching Tonto doll (see following item #2021) on stuffed horses w/"Lone Ranger And Tonto - Tuckers' Place - Wecoma, Ore." text at bottom of front.
