Striking 1.5” circa 1899 with covered tin back and vertical stickpin by St. Louis Button Co. Fabulous design of cat arching its back and with its tail standing straight up as it stands on a sheet metal roof with yellow stripe in the background simulating a crescent moon against a night sky accented by tiny stars. Reverse has pair of trivial 1/8” cello splits caused in assembly and the front surface is just a hair concave to the touch. Almost no surface wear. High gloss. Displays Mint. Scarce.
