Item Description
Original box is 3x4x1” deep. This is somewhat warped in shape and with blue moisture stains on the underside. It remains intact. Comes with folder 4x4-3/8” although 25% removed from the reverse sheet as a coupon was torn off. Sheet names the issuing company as Post’s Krinkles cereal. The premium had an expiration date of June 30, 1952. The premium itself consists of 1-1/8” diameter base inscribed “Rocket Launcher.” This has a raised pin at center surrounded by a spring and plastic piece, which locks into position. The set comes with all three-miniature rockets each inscribed “Viking” two of which glow in the dark. These can be fitted onto the base and then shot into the air. An historic premium related to America’s earliest ventures into space. Only our third complete example.
