Item Description
7/8”. This button is more frequently seen as 1.25” with W&H paper (See next item). This version has no back paper nor makers name but is undoubtedly by W&H. Likely produced circa 1909 at the time of the Cook & Peary North Pole discovery controversy. Wonderful color depiction of Santa in a circle flanked by polar bear and seal and with the sunburst and American flag above. The button is about 99% gem Mint with no wear or oxidation.
