Item Description
The first ten pieces are buttons while the last is a die cut sheet of celluloid. This probably had a fold over at the top with a pin on the back but that is no longer present and instead a straight pin is inserted through the celluloid in the area of the eagle. Earliest dated item is the simulated figural bowling ball from 1903 and latest date is 1925. First item in the group pictures “All Star Bowler” and this has a little age on the right side edge. The sepia real photo button with crossed pins and a ball has faint age mark and is a little flattened. Tiny age on the “St. Paul” button. Tiny split on the reverse of the “Gloucester City 1909” button. The large “Bowling Contest” button from 1915 has a half a dozen cello splits and faint traces of age. The remaining four buttons as well as the one from 1903 designed like a ball are Exc. to NM. All of these pieces are very limited issues and rare.
