Item Description
10-3/8" tall painted and glazed ceramic is marked on bottom "Wadeheath England" along with their standing lion mark. c. 1930s. Exceptional pitcher w/large figural Big Bad Wolf handle design as if he is holding onto the top rim of the pitcher and peering down at the high relief images of the Three Pigs. Pigs are surrounded by trees and flowers w/house and bkg. also in relief design. This example is more fully painted w/more detail than typically found w/additional flowers and lawn fully painted. A few small spots above cottage where paint did not correctly adhere, but this is as made. Typical and minor crazing. VF/Exc.
