Item Description
1.25” with no maker name or back paper. Reverse bottom has .25” cello split making tiny rim bump but almost invisible from the front. Depicts men in boat with man in bow about to harpoon a giant whale. This was likely issued in conjunction with the 1907 opening of the New Bedford Whaling Museum. Only example we’ve seen. Among the best of the few whaling themed buttons.
