Item Description
Sizes are 2.25” up to 9”. We’ve organized these in three groups. First nine pieces carry name of Ladies’ Of The G.A.R. A number of these include the designation “Delegate.” They begin in 1910 and end in 1923. The one in the group for “Garfield Circle” has vertical fabric splits with extensive magic tape repair on the reverse. One from Seattle 1926 has a little soil upper left as does one from 1923 but majority are all extremely clean. Second group consists of two badges and five ribbons for Woman’s Relief Corps. The first from 1902 has piece of tape across towards the top and repeating on the reverse. Second with double sided celluloid which has a few tan dots is from Bellingham, 1904. Tiny wear on the ribbon. The “Stevens” ribbon has pinholes and a little soil at the top. This is followed by ribbons from 1913, 1916 with center crease, 1923 and another in a different color both with pinholes at the top. The third group consists of seven bronze luster ribbon badges plus a ribbon badge with celluloid hanger. The first of these is from Ladies Of The G.A.R. The second from Daughters Of Veterans. Next five for Woman’s Relief Corps. And last from Sons Of Veterans. The two pieces with ribbons designed as stars and stripes seemed to consist of some type of more modern synthetic fabric and we are going to call these replacements but all other pieces are original with just a little wear on the third and fourth fabrics. Metal areas are all clean and Exc. An extensive group.
