Item Description
First is quite large 2.25” tall die cut brass full figure Mickey pin. His body areas have tiny stippling marks much like those on the item in #1019. Reverse of the piece reads “Regd 8287” indicating British origin. First we’ve seen and NM. Second is 3/8” deep by 2.25” tall paper, cardboard and wood box to hold matches. Reverse is thin blue paper with ¼” diameter spot missing and left and right side edges are rough paper for match striking. The box interior slides open but has no contents. On the bottom side edge a 1” strip of light blue paper is missing. The illustrated area of the piece displays NM. First we’ve seen. Next is a 2.75” tall figural tin whistle showing Mickey with one hand by his head and the other by a sword at his waist. Tiny text between his legs “Made In Japan.” A few pinpoints of paint off but very minor. Next is a 1-11/16” circle of tin with numbers in a random order. A tiny metal peg holds a die cut full figure of Mickey at the center. His one hand and finger point towards the numbers and when the piece is held the Mickey figure can be flipped with a finger causing him to spin around. Behind the full figure image is additional artwork with a second image of Mickey as well as one to the right greatly resembling Krazy Kat who holds a bow and one string base fiddle. Paint on the circular piece shows wear but the spinning figure of Mickey remains Exc. Last is one of the smallest dexterity puzzles ever made. This 1930s piece is 7/8” in diameter. It has a celluloid covered bottom with celluloid cover to a depth of about .25”. Depicted inside is full figure of Mickey plus two tiny balls to place in a pair of tiny circular cutouts. No markings. 1930s and likely Japan. Exc. Rare and unusual pieces.
