Item Description
First is 2.25” from early 1900s and picturing real photos of 12 different famous classical music composers. Advertising is for “Broadway Department Store/Pianos/Player Pianos/Phonographs/Phonograph Records & Roll Music.” Mirror silvering is very dark on the outer edge but the celluloid remains NM displaying Mint. Next is 2.75” oval with Uncle Sam captioned below “De-Lighted” as he listens to a “Columbia” phonograph. Mirror silvering about 98% complete. Few tiny age dots on the reverse around the collet and a few of these show as faint tan marks on the front cream perimeter. Image area remains totally clean and the piece has nice gloss. First we’ve seen. Last at 2.25” has some silvering loss but about 90% remaining. Issued by Cleveland dealer in “Steinway And Other Pianos.” Celluloid is NM displaying Mint. Another first we’ve seen.
