Item Description
First is a thin brass ring c. late 1940s or early 1950s. Ring is stamped from a single piece of brass with adjustable bands that slightly overlap. Top has raised area with center image strongly resembling Lone Ranger with bandana flying to one side. A mask is not particularly evident but when it is stamped into soft material, the resulting image does give the appearance of eyes surrounded faintly by a mask. Corners on this example are rounded whereas in the Hake Guide the four corners are more pointed. Each corner has a small dot also not seen on the Hake Guide version. Nice luster. Second is brilliant luster aluminum with expandable bands. Top has Lone Ranger with tiny gold dot accents in the eye area and a metallic red scarf at the neck. There are no inscriptions but this ring was used in Canada and promoted and pictured on canisters of Nestle’s product Quik c. late 1950s. We’ve seen only about ½ dozen of these and this is an essentially Mint example. A scarce pair.
