Item Description
Large 15x24-7/8x4" deep illustrated cardboard box contains complete and unused game by Water Games, Inc. ©1959-1960 Ziv Television Programs, Inc. Box features Lloyd Bridges image and game is tie-in to the 1958-1961 TV series following Bridges' "Undersea Investigator" character Mike Nelson. Box has some scattered aging and edge wear, but still tight. Some scattered moisture staining to sides of lid. Fine/VF overall. Game is promoted as "The Ideal Water Sport For Pools, Lakes, Oceans" and features two diving masks, two "guns" (plastic tubes w/rubber pump bulbs), two wooden dowel rods, fishing rod and reel to lower water filled "fish" to bottom and four 12" long vinyl "fish." Object of game was to pump air in "fish" to cause them to come to surface from bottom of pool in as few attempts as possible. Comes w/original instruction booklet, which shows obvious aging. Game parts show some lt. wear/aging and are Exc. overall. Old store stock. Very rare and the first we've seen in our 48 years. One of the most interesting TV items we've encountered. Gary Keller Collection.
