Item Description
Lot of three covers 4.5x1.5", each flattened w/matches neatly removed. Two are for “The Shadow” and the third is for “The Shadow of Fu Manchu”. The first is 1930s that has an image of The Shadow from the waist up in silhouette with a handgun. This cover also has a large ad that reads “Buy Blue Coal”. The second is 1940s matchbook cover with The Shadow promoting Blue Coal and has a diecut hinged tab on the interior of the cover featuring The Shadow and behind him are criminals behind bars. The third cover is from 1939 and promoting “The Shadow of Fu Manchu”. It features an image of Fu Manchu and also a design of a dragon. All w/typical scattered wear and aging, but remain Fine overall. A nice trio.
