Item Description
2.5" tall made of thin wood joined by narrow red plastic cord with bar pin on back of hanger. Wood is beautifully decorated with floral and vine designs accented by soft colors and with hand-applied text at top center "Gene Autry Friendship Club." The lower frame surrounds a glossy real photo without dot pattern of Gene strumming his guitar. The photo is covered on the back by a thin piece of paper with small brown streaks as if to simulate a birch bark covering. Autry had a large and devoted 1940s fan club and it is likely this piece was made for members attending a convention. Beautifully constructed and first we've seen. Essentially Mint condition. Rare.
