Item Description
2.75x6" for weekly drama suspense detective program. 1947-1948 issued by sponsor "Household Finance Corporation." Includes imprint for "WCBS" New York radio station featuring silhouette image of Shadow-inspired character wearing hat and whistling a tune w/text that reads "Mystery At Its Best/A Radio Program For You." Unused and Exc. Mailing envelope with image of "The Whistler" in FN overall. Front of envelope is clean and displayable. Reverse of envelope has pencil notations and math problems. Both this variety of the blotter and envelope rare are unlisted in Hake's Price Guide to Character Toys.
