This boxed watch from 1933 is not only the first Mickey watch, but it is also the first version produced. It was altered slightly in the fall of 1933. This version has a leather band w/metal accents pieces that attach to braces on the case, the version that followed was without these accent pieces. Also this case has Art Deco geometric designs that were removed from later versions. Band has pair of metal Mickey attacthments both w/much of the black accent paint remaining. Below one Mickey are a pair of added holes to the leather band. The 1.25" dia. case retains near full luster, dial is clean. Runs but not guaranteed to keep time. Exc. The 2.5x4.5x1" deep box is complete w/insert and cardboard retail price tag of $2.75. Also has guarantee paper. Box has lt. wear but tight and w/strong color. VF. An exceptional example of classic watch.
