Item Description
Lot of three pieces issued in the late 1930s by the English publication "Mickey Mouse Weekly." First item is 8x10" letter from Mickey welcoming new club member. Notes the enclosure of club card and badge although badge not included in this lot. Nice letterhead art depicting Mickey as editor, Minnie typing, surrounding characters are Donald Duck, Clara Cluck, Horace and Clarabelle. Has ink stamp signature of Mickey. Wear along folds including .5" tears, clear tape repairs on reverse. Lt. age spotting along centerfold. Second item is 5x8" enrollment form. This shows the club badge and also has a nice image of Donald. This paper was to be returned to "Your Newsagent." Slight aging and margin wear. Third item is the 3.5x4.75" membership card. Front has individual issue number of "89853", back features club "Promise." Signed in pencil, card has moderate crease. Lot is VG. We've offered about 20 of the enamel badges over the years but this is the only the second membership card we've seen and first we've seen of the other 2 papers.
