Item Description
4x6.5x9" box with illustrations of Tracy and toy on all sides. Deep blue with bright yellows and reds. Two 1" tears on box flap. Scattered handling creases with minimal color loss. Box holds its original shape. Overall box Fine. Comes with 3.75x6x8.75" tin lithographed police station. Tracy's image in shield on rooftop. Text on roof includes "It's Automatic! The Doors Fly Open/And The Squad Car Dashes To The Rescue!" Instructions are on bottom of station. Station sides have additional Dick Tracy characters pictured. Crank is attached to side of building. This is used to wind up the 7.5" long friction squad car with siren affect. Typical warp of plastic doors with stress lines and cracks. Wind-up mechanism, friction action, siren sound all work fine. Tin lithographed areas on station and on car remain glossy and clean. c. early 50s. An exceptional set. Bright, glossy and Exc.
