Item Description
.5" deep by 18" wide by 10.75" tall to top of pipe. Target is attached to wood base on back plus metal battery operating mechanism designed to swing figures of Popeye and Pappy on seesaw type of device. 17" wood bar pivots above electromagnet and swings 3x3" cardboard images of Popeye and Pappy. These two characters plus bowl of pipe are hinged, so when any are hit with dart from gun they will fall back. Mechanism does not work. c. mid-1930s. Manufactured by Jos. Schneider. Bright, glossy illustrations remain on large front panel which shows Popeye characters and point markers. Each character has cartoon balloon with word or phrase. Wimpy says "A Hamburger, Please." Popeye "Blow Me Down!" Was originally issued with spring-loaded gun and rubber-tipped darts. Not included. Displays bright, clean, VF.
