Item Description
3x5.5x13" hinged box copyright Kagran Corp. Lid with illustrations of Howdy, Flub-A-Dub, Clarabell. Lid flap has illustrated operating instructions. 5" tear along hinge area. Surface dust. Made by Peter Puppet Playthings. Designed by Raye Copelan. Side text includes "Flub-A-Dub Marionette/Movable Mouth And Eyes." Box VG. 10.5" long composition and fabric marionette has attached cardboard hand control unit. Head and body are painted composition with felt outfit. Felt neck covering, ears and feet. Each side of outfit is marked "Flub-A-Dub." Missing tiny feather tail. Yellow fabric hatband and tie intact. Mouth is designed to open and close, eyes also move. Compo body has minor crazing of paint noticeable only under close inspection. c. 1950s. Clean, bright, Exc.
