12.50” X 18.50” folder with opening door fold-out design contains 2 booklets concerning the 1934 serial. First book is for publicity and features “Synopsis, advertisement for colored enlargements, banner, window card, marquee hanger and has several features and reviews. This booklet is set up similar to a newspaper. Cover has large image of Lugosi with hands raised over a crystal ball with list of contents. Second book is for advertising and has a similar cover design. Inside features several images of newspaper ads, lobby displays, posters, lobby cards and other forms of advertisements. Also featured are novelties such as a “Return of Chandu” mask that could be cut out and ads for premiums: invisible ink cards, balloons, magnifying glass and door and automobile hangers. Folder has some corner tip wear and light strip of aging at top of reverse and is in FN condition. Advertising booklet has a 5.50” spine split but covers remain secure. Booklets are VF/Exc. A beautifully designed publicity package with many images of Bela Lugosi for this classic serial.
