Item Description
Lot of 5, each 2.5x2-7/8", Issued by General Gum Inc. © 1934. Unnumbered but from a set of 24 featuring comic characters. These cards are: Uncle Walt/Skeezix, Tiny Tim/Dotty, Harold Teen/Shadow Smart, Uncle Avery/Uncle Walt/Doc, Smitty. Cards were to be used in conjunction w/"celluloid screen" causing the front illustrations to have a flicker/flasher appearance w/movement. Each card back notes that these screens were available for "10 Andy Gump Heads" cut from wrappers. Scattered soiling/wear w/.5" tear on bottom of Tim card, lt. crease on 2 others. VG to Fine. Scarce.
