Item Description
Lot of 35. 1.50” X 2” glossy black & white picture cards. Issued in conjunction with a Cuban candy most probably caramel. Circa 1936. Cards include numbers 11-12, 14, 18-19, 23-24, 29-31, 34-37, 40, 43, 45-46, 48, 66, 101, 106, 114, 116, 121, 127, 129, 131, 133, 136-137, 141, 144-145 & 149. Cards feature several portraits of Temple in various costumes including, ballerina, Santa Claus, Geisha, Policeman’s uniform & old women. Two cards feature her celebrating New Year’s 1936 and one card features her with clowns. Several scenes form movies are included, some showing her with co-stars. Cards # 14 & 136 show Temple holding a Shirley Temple doll. Back of cards features same text “Vida grafica de Shirley Temple obsequiodde “la Estrella” caramelos finos.” Cards have some aging with many having staining/age spotting on reverses. FN.
