Item Description
6.50” X 7” X 15” probable doll case circa 1930’s. Manufacture is unmarked. Case is designed like steamer trunk of the period. Constructed out of heavy cardboard with paper covering, each corner has brass corner covering. Top has handle and side has working clasp mechanism. Parts have aged some what and clasp has some oxidation and luster lost. Case has a 1 ¾” wide paper strip surrounding it at middle that has numerous chips. Case has 9 Shirley Temple stickers on it all of which picture her. 5 of these stickers are for the most part complete, with other stickers missing areas, some missing half others just corners. Some sticker’s text read, “Our Little Girl, (missing word)…Little Rich Girl, Baby Take a Bow (letter “a” is missing), Shirley Temple in Bright Eyes, and two stickers with various parts Shirley Temple’s name missing. Case has all over wear and aging including moisture staining, discoloration, and surface rubs. VG. Inside case has 2.50” X 3.50” X 5.50” box with a handle on one side, indicating truck may have also been used as a closet for dolls.
