Item Description
4” X 9” pamphlet with 40 pages. Copyright 1966 American Airlines Inc. A probable airline-give away to children, this pamphlet seized on the popularity of Batman and Robin and used their creator, Bob Kane to entertain children. Kane is featured on front cover with three pieces of art that he did, one of Batman and Robin with Bat signal, one of Batman, and one of Batwoman. There is also and 8 page segment done in comic book style with Kane as the narrator for people flying into New York. Second to last panel he is shown drawing Batman. Kane is pictured on back at drawing board with painting in background. In a short blurb, he compares New York City to Gotham City. Pamphlet has some handling wear with a 1.50” crease by Bob Kane’s knee on front cover, pinch creases at spine. FN with a VF appearance. An interesting cross promotion item.
