Item Description
12.5x15" vintage wood frame with beautiful spatter-paint front edge holding glass over bw paper print featuring portraits of Teddy Roosevelt and John Mitchell as "The World's Leading Champions Of Arbitration And Fair Play." Photo identifications are "Theodore Roosevelt - President Of The United States" and "John Mitchell - President United Mine Workers Of America." Each is depicted beneath a cone-shaped coal pile. Print publisher is Hagg & Parris, Philadelphia, identified on extreme bottom margin. Scarce memento of the bitter strike of about 5 months duration during 1902. Small pair of .5" gray marks above TR's head and two small spots of white bkg. color loss at extreme upper left edges. Overall VF in gorgeous vintage frame that just needs a wire to hang. Only the third we've seen.
