Item Description
During WWI, Hoover was Wilson's Food Administrator. Christmas card is 5.25x4-3/16". First page of card reads "Our Hooverized Christmas Greeting." Has "camouflaged" ribbon with a piece of twine holding the card together with a picture of holly, a picture of mistletoe and a picture of a bluebird saying this is holly, this is mistletoe, this is a bluebird. Interior of card reads "We've Hooverized On Pork And Beans And Butter Cake and Bread, We've Cut Out Auto Riding And Now We Walk Instead. We've Hooverized On Sugar, On Coal And Light And Lard And Here's Our Christmas Greeting On A Hoover Xmas Card. We Wish You A Very M.C. And A H.N.Y." Reverse of card has ©1918 "Campbell Art Company Elizabeth New Jersey." Has Christmas seal on envelope back. Envelope VG. Card Mint. First Seen.
