Item Description
1.25". Reads "Stuart Hamblen's 10-Day Round-Up Sale Star Outfitting Co." Paper from Western Badge LA. Stuart Hamblen was a country-western gospel singer, composer and radio/movie personality. During his long span on radio, Hamlen composed western songs such as "Texas Plains," "My Mary," "Golden River," "Walkin My Fortune," and "This Old House" which was awarded 1954 song of the year. In the early 1950s Stuart's radio show "The Cowboy Church Of The Air" was syndicated nationwide. During this time, the syndicate sponsors wanted Stuart to do a commercial promoting alcohol and Stuart refused. The sponsors told him they would pull the plug so during the last several shows Stuart let his nationwide listening audience know why he would be leaving the air. Because of this, in 1952 the Prohibition Party asked Stuart to run for the President of the United States on their ticket. High gloss and N. Mint.
