Item Description
One of three different 2-1/8" issued c. 1900 apparently for those attending a Shriner's convention in Troy, N.Y. This button reads "Compliments Of International Shirt And Collar Company." Depicted is a camel wearing a shriner's fez and also the company's shirt collar with small bow tie. An apparent blindfolded initiate to the group wearing one of the company's shirts hangs on by grasping the camel's halter. Reverse paper has company trademark plus additional advertising for their "Shirt Collars and Cuffs - Noble Goods For 'Noble's Wear.' Paper also specifies "W&H" as the maker. About five times rarer than the version showing camel lying down. First we've offered in many years. Very minor surface wear shows only in reflected light. Displays as Mint.
