The movie was buried by M-G-M for years and was credited with killing director Tod Browning's career. Button depicts "freaks" cast member Johnny Eck, the half-man from Baltimore who has become a cult figure himself. He died in 1991 at 79 years of age. His anatomically normal twin brother died a couple of years after. This button is particularly rare as very few were distributed. This is about our third in 38 years and has been in a one-owner collection since it's issue. Only trivial surface wear under magnification.
