Glossy N. Mint luster brass ring with slide-off top cover to serve as secret compartment. Issued by Ovaltine in 1942 for Capt. Midnight and again in 1945 from General Mills as "Kix Secret Compartment Pilot's Ring." This example comes with the Kix mailer. Bottom edge has hairline 1" tear and on lower left on both sides the bulge of the ring caused age cracks in the paper over area about .75" wide and 1.5" tall but only a tiny dot of paper missing. All text remains easily readable and front is clean. Back has glue marks by end flap. Only the second mailer we've seen. Ring is N. Mint.
