Item Description
1.5" tall in-house prototype for the embossed version of the badge that was issued to members with a pin-back. This piece is solid metal with a flat back that has needlepost and clutch rather than a pin. To the eye, the front is silvery but under a glass much brass color is also present. On the back the tone is mostly brass. Visually all brass luster is off the front but the lettering and design remain distinct with just a pinpoint of metal off the bottom edge, likely as produced in the casting of the item. Rare and only the second we've seen and the first since the 1980s. Catalogued in Hake toy guide as JSA-5.
