Item Description
2.5x10x15" boxed set with 9 unpainted characters and instruction booklet. ©1929 but issued in 1930s. Davidson Porcelain Co., Ohio. Early set pre-dating Wimpy. Figures are 2" to 5" tall and came unpainted with watercolor pad and brush (missing). Characters include Popeye, Olive Oyl, Ham Gravy, Castor Oyl, Professor Kilph, The Bandit, Jack Snork, Tingaro, Whiffle Hen. Lid with corner splits and surface dust slightly concave. Lid VG. Figures were unpainted white plaster, each has been painted with a white gloss paint but all are structurally sound with no defects. Exc. From the Gary Selmonsky Collection.
