Item Description
8.5" tall mostly tin litho and hard plastic toy by Masudaya, Japan. 1960s. Old store stock and box is complete with all inserts. Lid has light crease along left edge. VF. Two-piece toy depicts Santa Claus with fabric beard and toy sack slung over his shoulder and attaches to the scooter decorated with images of Santa in a sleigh pulled by reindeer plus text "Merry Xmas." Toy works and travels around with bump-and-go action, Santa holds handlebars and moves as if steering, head and tail lights flash and a ringing bell sound is produced. Toy has some scattered tiny paint nicks as produced but remains N. Mint. An unusual Christmas toy.
