Second item is © 1936 11x14" salesman's presentation to grocer book w/orange plastic spiral binding, laminated stiff glossy covers, 14 pages w/page pockets and numerous inserts. Book is in striking bw/bright orange/fleshtone colors. Inserts are all b/w. Highlights front to back include cartoon cover w/Scrappy seeing "Wanted" ad for salesman to introduce Pillsbury's Farina to children. Following pages present Scrappy's credentials and explain the premium promotion campaign. Scrappy is billed as "The Famous Juvenile Movie Star Who Has More Kiddie Fans Than Any Other Boy In Hollywood." Text mentions newspaper "Scrappy Sayings, Scrappy Drawing Lessons," teaching kids to draw in schools and theaters across the U.S. and cartoons in 8000 theaters weekly. Wonderful graphics on every page detail the plan and premium Scrappy Animated Puppet Theater to be given free w/two Farina packages. All sorts of promotion support items are pictured like posters and handbills. Back pages have three pockets. First pocket held sample store poster which is missing. All else appears complete. Second pocket has 5x7" sheet showing two newspaper ads. Minor .25" edge tear. Third pocket has 6x9" sample circular to promote the premium by theater distribution. Top inside back cover has five b/w photos of Scrappy saying "My Friends Among Columbia Stars Will Publicize My Plan In Newspapers And Magazines Throughout The Country." Two of the five photos show the Three Stooges w/Scrappy Theater set up on table and them holding examples. In one photo Moe is grabbing Larry's hair and his finger is in Curly's nose. Tiny bit of general minor wear to covers, tiny 1/8" puncture mark on one page margin. Overall Exc. and complete except one poster but w/extra items included.
